En février 2014, la mousson de l'année précédente avait emporté le fameux pont de Sangkhlaburi. Une fragile passerelle flottante et provisoire reliait encore malgré tout le village Môn au reste de l'agglomération. Des adolescents avaient fait du pont détruit un terrain de jeu et un plongeoir. Tout a été reconstruit peu après — et ce lieu a même servi récemment de décor au tournage de plusieurs scènes du film The Creator (2023), qui s'appelait encore True Love pendant la production.
In February 2014, the previous year's monsoon had swept away the famous bridge of Sangkhlaburi. A fragile, makeshift floating walkway still connected the Mon village to the rest of the town. Teenagers had turned the ruins of the bridge into a playground and a diving platform. Everything was rebuilt shortly after — and the site has recently served as a filming location for several scenes of the film The Creator (2023), which was still titled True Love during production.
